|
| U 89 sichtete am 25.07.1942 um 08:00 Uhr ein schwaches Licht und lief darauf zu. Um 09:55 Uhr begann Lohmann das Schiff mit der Artillerie zu beschießen. Daraufhin verließ die Besatzung das Schiff. U 89 versenkte die Lucille M. mit 20 Schuß Brand- und 15 Schuß Sprenggranaten. Es gab keine Verluste. Der Kapitän und 10 Besatzungsmitglieder landeten in ihrem Rettungsboot bei Shelbourne (Kanada).
