Zwei dieser Torpedos trafen die Penelope Barker an Backbord. Das Schiff sank innerhalb von 10 Minuten über das Heck. 10 Besatzungsmitglieder, 5 Artilleristen und 1 Passagier kamen ums Leben. Der Kapitän, 32 Besatzungsmitglieder und 23 Artilleristen wurden vom britischen Zerstörer HMS Savage (G.29) gerettet und in Murmansk (Sowjetunion) an Land gesetzt. |
